Bireme releases Isis software documentation under FDL license
Submitted by admin on Fri, 2007-03-02 09:47.As promised last year, Bireme released on February some Isis family software documentation under FDL licensing. This release is to be the first step on a long way to create a Free Software community around Isis products from Bireme.
FDL license allows the community to extend, modify and translate the documents and make them more user-friendly.
Osiris site will co-distribute the released documents and also coordinate translation groups in order to make them available for as much people as possible.

Osiris creates translation groups
Submitted by admin on Tue, 2007-01-09 01:17.Osiris project begins with one of its main objectives: settlement of coordinated translation groups for Software, Documentation, news and announcements.
By the moment we are looking for volunteer translators wanting to cooperate on coordinated groups for developing translation tasks of diferent projects hosted on Osiris portal. Target is to establish organised groups with at least one coordinator and checker for each official language of the portal, who can face necessary tasks of translating contributions of the community to make them available for the maximum ammount of users.
Ernesto Spinak releases "Online Help for Winisis" under FDL
Submitted by admin on Sat, 2007-01-06 03:50.On January 4th, 2007, Ernesto Spinak (spinaker@adinet.com.uy) offers the first contribution to OSIRIS project.
It consists on a screen help for Winisis package, made up of a sort of html files of contextual user help.
It's released under GNU's FDL license and we're looking for translators to contribute in its internationalization.

We're starting a portal dedicated to distribution, advising and freeing of diverse Isis family and related resources.
Our goal is to compile and distribute all Software and Documentation packages related to Isis which fulfill the requierements to be licensed Free as specified by the Free Software Foundation.
